Extra Good Is Almost Here

First, I want to thank you for joining me on this little journey to newsletter happiness. I know you’re probably wondering why Extra Good was even started in the first place.

Allow me to explain briefly. A while back (like, years at this point), I started a Substack newsletter just for the media community. It grew and grew like the little engine that could, and now BryceGruber.Substack.com is heartily reaching thousands of subscribers each week to bring industry insights and calls for article pitches. Those pitches are mostly for the big name-brand magazines I write for.

By day, I’m a shopping editor at Reader’s Digest and some of the other really, really good magazines Trusted Media Brands puts out. I love ‘em. But my work there is hyper-focused and I’m basically bursting at the seams with other topics I’d love to share with you. Things that come from weird corners of the internet that might not have a home, per se, in RD or The Family Handyman, ya know? So that’s why I started the Extra Good newsletter.

Extra Good is open to the masses, not just the media community, though I suspect our lovely little media world will be my biggest supporters and contributors. It’s also a place where I get to discuss and celebrate some of the totally-amazing pitches I get in my inbox each day but don’t necessarily have an article for in one of my magazines. Because I want to support you. I want to support your work, too.

Sooooo… thanks for joining me on this very extra and good journey! It’s totally free. Expect regular blog updates and only weekly emails, because clogging your inbox isn’t what I’m about.
